Purpose: The purpose of this policy is:
  1. Outline the general terms and conditions within the user agreement.
  2. Ensure Customers understand their responsibility for maintaining their ongoing security through services arranged via the Unic Technologies Limited app.
  3. Customers and Service Providers must consistently adhere to this policy in line with Unic Technologies Limited’s Best Practice approach.
Policy Classifications: In this policy, certain words and phrases are capitalized to indicate that they carry specific defined meanings as outlined below:
  • Unic Technologies Limited (A company with limited liability, registered and incorporated in the United Kingdom under the company number 15710638, having its registered office at 7 Leeland Terrace, London W13 9HW).
  • Unic Technologies and Unic Technologies Platform means the technology platform(s) provided by Unic Technologies Limited.
  • Service Provider refers to Unic Technologies Limited which serves as the direct service provider engaging with you for Unic Technologies Provided Services
  • 3rd Party Service Providers are independent contractors, registered businesses, or other legal entities, and they do not work for or represent Unic Technologies in any capacity.
  • Customer or Passenger refers to a user of the Unic Technologies Limited Platform who utilizes it to request the transportation services.
  • Service Receiver refers to a user of the Unic Technologies Limited Platform who utilize the platform to receive transportation services.
  • Driver refers to a properly licensed driver who is authorised to transport a Passenger for a Journey on our behalf in accordance with these Private Hire Terms, which includes you as Passenger and other properly licensed drivers who are associated with your account (where applicable).
  • Journey denotes transportation services coordinated through the Unic Technologies Platform.
  • Registration denotes the process for creating an account and providing the information and documentation required to sign up to Unic Technologies Limited services
  • Eligibility refers to the pre-determined criteria for users of the provided apps and services, set by both Unic Technologies limited and applicable local and National laws and rules.
  • We, Our or Us means Unic Technologies.
  • You means the party entering into these Terms with us.
  1. Overview
    1. These terms and conditions pertain to your usage and access of Unic Technologies’s Mobile App and Website Service.
    2. You must read carefully and agree to the Terms prior to accessing and utilizing Unic Technologies’s Mobile App and Website Service. These Terms expressly supplant prior agreements or arrangements about the App and Websites Service (as defined below) between you and Unic Technologies.
    3. These Terms and conditions are applicable as long as they do not clash with any user-specific or supplementary terms that are specifically designated for Unic Technologies’s Mobile App and Website Service.
    4. By using Unic Technologies’s Mobile App and Website Service, you acknowledge your acceptance of these Terms. Failure to agree to these Terms and conditions will prohibit your access to or use of Unic Technologies’s Mobile App and Website Service. We recommend that you keep a copy of these terms for future reference.
    5. Unic Technologies reserves the right to refuse services to any individual following registration and based on eligibility and other circumstances.
    6. If communication with you is necessary, we will utilize push notification from Unic Technologies’s mobile application, phone call, text message or email, using the details you provided to us on registration for Unic Technologies’s mobile application. Whenever the terms “writing” or “written” are mentioned in these terms, they encompass emails, texts, and push notifications.
    7. Unless otherwise agreed separately in writing, the Mobile App and Website Service and Unic Technologies Products are made available to you for your personal non-commercial use in the United Kingdom only.
    8. Unic Technologies Limited reserves the right to amend or update these terms if it determines, at its discretion, at any time. Users will be informed via in-app push notifications and email of any upcoming changes or updates to Unic Technologies Terms and Conditions.
    9. It is your responsibility to maintain the security of your account details and password, as well as the security of your device where any instance of Unic Technologies App may exist.
  2. Unic Technologies’s Provided Services
    1. Unic Technologies serves as the direct service provider engaging with you for Transportation Services.
    2. Unic Technologies retains the freedom to accept or decline a request. Acceptance is conveyed to you via Unic Technologies mobile applications or websites, and the associated terms or agreement will delineate when a direct contract is established between you and Unic Technologies.
    3. This service is provided “as is” and “as available”
    4. Service availability can vary and is not guaranteed at all times.
  3. 3rd Party Services
    1. In facilitating 3rd Party Services, Unic Technologies operates as a disclosed agent connecting you with 3rd Party Providers to facilitate the provision of such services. It’s important to note that Unic Technologies itself does not furnish 3rd Party Services. These 3rd Party Providers are and include independent contractors, registered businesses, or other legal entities, and they do not work for or represent Unic Technologies in any capacity.
    2. While logged in, online and in the service area of a 3rd Party Provider, you will be given information in Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and websites about the 3rd Party Services before you decide to make a request.
    3. 3rd Party Providers are free to decide to accept, reject or ignore a request. Acceptance is communicated to you through Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and websites and will give rise to a direct contract between you and the 3rd Party Provider (for 3rd Party Services).
    4. You may be requested to rate the 3rd Party Provider whose services you requested. The 3rd Party Provider may also be able to give you a rating. Although your rating by itself will not make you lose access to Unic Technologies’s Mobile App and Website Service, 3rd Party Providers may see your customer rating in Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and websites and this rating may affect whether or not they decide to provide 3rd Party Services to you.
    5. The 3rd Party Provider is accountable for any commitments that may arise from the provision of the 3rd Party Services.
  4. Privacy Notice
    1. Unic Technologies gathers, uses and reveals information from or about you as described in Unic Technologies’s Privacy Notice. Additional privacy notices may apply, including from 3rd party controllers, for Unic Technologies Provided Services or 3rd Party Services. We will notify you through email or before use of those services apply to you.
  5. Charges and Payment
    1. Charges for Unic Technologies Provided Services and Third Party Services.
      1. If you make a request through Unic Technologies’s mobile applications or websites, you agree to use the associated payment system and to pay the relevant charges as described in Unic Technologies’s mobile applications or websites and will be accountable for any charges or fees linked to your account.
      2. Depending on the Unic Technologies Provided Service or 3rd Party Service used, including, but not limited to its location, the charges may be displayed on Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and/or websites before a request is placed. In other cases, the charges will depend on your use of the 3rd Party Services or Unic Technologies Provided Services. We may provide an estimate of these charges. Please be aware that the final amount charged to you may be different from the provided estimate.
      3. You may be charged supplementary charges, costs and/or fines, for your use or misuse of Unic Technologies Provided Services and/or 3rd Party Services (such as, but not limited to repair or cleaning fees).
      4. Once the Unic Technologies Provided Service or the 3rd Party Service has been provided, we may issue you with an invoice from Unic Technologies or on behalf of the 3rd Party Provider, as applicable. The invoice will include VAT, if applicable.
    2. For more information about charges and supplementary charges, fees, costs and/or fines specific to the relevant Unic Technologies Provided Service or 3rd Party Service please consult the support section in Unic Technologies’s mobile applications or websites (such as at Help).
    3. The charges may be modified in Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and websites from time to time.
    4. The charges do not include tips. Where available, you may pay tips, either in person or through Unic Technologies’s mobile applications or websites. We will collect tips paid through Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and/or websites on your behalf and remit them.
    5. Unless otherwise agreed, all charges are due immediately upon a request being placed and payment will be facilitated by Unic Technologies using the preferred payment method associated with your account, after which Unic Technologies will send you a receipt by email. If your primary payment method is not able to be charged, Unic Technologies may use a secondary payment method if available. If your payment method(s) are unavailable, we reserve the right to continue to try to take payment.
    6. Charges are inclusive of applicable taxes including VAT unless specifically stated otherwise.
  6. Cancellation
    1. In some cases, you do not have the right to cancel the request for the Unic Technologies Provided Services and 3rd Party Services once it has been accepted. However, for certain Unic Technologies Provided Services or 3rd Party Services, Unic Technologies or the 3rd Party Service Provider (as appropriate) may allow you to cancel the request, but you may be charged a cancellation fee.
    2. Unic Technologies may refuse requests and cancel the 3rd Party Services or Unic Technologies Provided Services if there is reasonable doubt about the correctness or authenticity of the request or about the contact information. In this case too, a cancellation fee may be charged. We may also end any contract in place between you and Unic Technologies.

  7. Termination
    1. You are allowed at all times to use the Mobile App and Website Service and may terminate these Terms and the Mobile App and Website Service by closing your account.
    2. We may terminate these Terms and your access to the Mobile App and Website Service with immediate effect if we conclude that there is a breach by you of these Terms or any other agreement between you and Unic Technologies for the provision of Unic Technologies Services.
    3. Unic Technologies may, in its sole discretion, terminate these Terms or discontinue the Mobile App and Website Service at any time by giving you reasonable advance notice in writing.
    4. If we cannot charge the relevant charges to your preferred payment method we may suspend or remove your access to the Mobile App and Website Service until payment is made.
    5. You must immediately pay any outstanding charges due to 3rd Party Providers or Unic Technologies by you upon termination. Any such charges will survive termination and we reserve all rights to collect payment after termination.
  8. Your accountability and Indemnity
    1. It is your responsibility as a user to ensure only accurate and current information is provided during and after registration.
    2. You are accountable for any damage suffered by us as a result of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Mobile App and Website Service and Unic Technologies Products or your violation of any laws or 3rd party rights. You are accountable for all activities conducted through your account unless such activities are not authorised by you and you are not otherwise negligent.
    3. In order to have access to the App or Websites Services, you agree to indemnify, defend (at our option) and hold us and our respective officers, directors, and employees harmless from and against all claims, accountabilities, expenses, damages, penalties, fines, social security contributions and taxes arising out of or related to a breach of these Terms, breach of applicable law or third party claims directly or indirectly related to your use of the 3rd Party Services and the Unic Technologies Provided Services generally.
  9. Limitation of Liability
    1. Unic Technologies strives to provide uninterrupted service; however, Unic Technologies is not liable for any disruption in service, incluing those caused by factors beyond its control. Users acknowledge that there may be periods of downtime, maintenance, or technical issues that could disrupt service. Unic Technologies shall not be held liable for any losses or damages arising from such interruptions.
    2. In these Terms, no provision restricts or excludes any responsibility that cannot be legally restricted or excluded. This includes accountability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, as well as liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Additionally, it does not change your rights as a consumer that cannot be excluded under the relevant laws.
    3. UNIC, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, workers, agents and/or subcontractors are not accountable under or in relation to these Terms including, but not limited to, accountability in contract, tort (including negligence, misrepresentation), breach of statutory duty, restitution or otherwise for any of the following arising out of or in connection with the use of the Mobile App and Website Service and Unic Technologies Products made available through the Mobile App and Website Service: (i) loss of profits (ii) loss of sales or business (iii) loss of agreements or contracts (iv) loss of anticipated savings (v) loss of use or corruption of software, data or information (vi) loss of or damage to goodwill and (vii) indirect or consequential loss.
    4. Unic Technologies, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, workers, agents and/or subcontractors are accountable for:
      1. in relation to Unic Technologies Transportation Services, any Booking that is not accepted or is otherwise cancelled by Unic Technologies.
      2. damages or losses arising from any transaction between you and a 3rd Party Provider;
      3. the availability and accuracy of the content, products or services of the 3rd Party Provider or
      4. delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control.
    5. Our total accountability to you, arising out of these Terms or their subject matter, or in connection with the provision to you of the App(s)/Website(s) or Unic Technologies Products, in contract, tort (including negligence, misrepresentation), breach of constitutional duty, restitution or otherwise, shall not exceed five hundred pounds sterling (£500), unless otherwise agreed in relation to a specific Unic Technologies Product.
    6. Unic Technologies, and its associate entities, are not accountable for business losses. Mobile App and Website Service are provided only for private use. If you use Mobile App and Website Service for any commercial or business purpose Unic Technologies will have no accountability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, loss of revenue, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity (whether or not such loss could be reasonably expected to flow from our negligence or breach of these Terms).
  10. General
    1. Unic Technologies may change these Terms periodically. We will inform you of changes within a reasonable time period and at least 30 days for any significant changes. You will be bound by such changes upon their notification to you in Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and/or websites and/or by email. If you do not agree with these changes, you are free to close your account in accordance with Section 7.a. These Terms were most recently updated as at the outset of this document.
    2. The ineffectiveness of any clauses within these Terms does not impact the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. Any such invalid, illegal, or unenforceable clauses will be considered removed.
    3. We may assign, subcontract or transfer these Terms or any of our rights or obligations in them, in whole or in part, without your prior consent, provided this will not lead to a reduction of the rights you are entitled to by virtue of these Terms or by law. We will tell you if this happens. You may not assign, subcontract or transfer these Terms or any of our rights or obligations, in whole or in part, as your use of the Unic Technologies’s App and Website is personal, unless agreed otherwise.
    4. These Terms replace all previous agreements relating to your access and use of the Mobile App and Website Service. In addition, in the event of any conflict between these Terms and any previous agreements relating to your use of Unic Technologies Transportation Services, these Terms shall prevail.
    5. You may be required to accept additional terms to access or use the Mobile App and Website Service and/or Unic Technologies Products. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the separate agreement, the latter will have precedence unless specified otherwise in the separate agreement.
    6. No parties beyond those explicitly outlined in these Terms shall benefit from them as 3rd-party beneficiaries.
  11. Dispute Resolution Process
    1. In the event of a dispute, we would ask you to raise a complaint using the contact details in the “Contact Us” section above. In the unlikely event that we cannot resolve the dispute, we will work with you to discuss a way forward to resolve the dispute, which may include mediation. Unic Technologies’s right to refer the dispute to a court is expressly reserved. Unic Technologies does not promise to using an online dispute resolution platform to resolve consumer disputes.
  12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
    1. These Terms shall be governed solely by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts of England and Wales.
    2. The terms are governed by English Law. Users in England, Wales, Scotland or Northen Ireland can bring legal proceedings in their respective courts
  13. Assignment and Transfer of Terms
    1. Unic Technologies Right’s: The company can assign, subcontract or transfer its right or obligations under these terms without user consent, provided this doesn’t reduce user rights
    2. User’s Rights:User cannot transfer their rights or obligations unless explicitly agreed upon
  14. Precedence of Terms
    1. These terms replace all previous agreements related to the use of the app and website. If there’s a conflict between these terms and previous agreements, these terms prevail.
  15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
    1. The terms are governed by English Law. Users in England, Wales, Scotland or Northen Ireland can bring legal proceedings in their respective courts
MOBILE APP AND WEBSITE SERVICE
  1. By accessing and using the Mobile App and Website Service you accept these Terms
    1. When accessing and utilizing the Mobile App and Website Service in a different country, your usage may be governed by specific terms applicable to that country.
    2. Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and websites may be made available to you under various branding depending on the Unic Technologies Product you are accessing or using at the time.
  2. Your access to and use of the Mobile App and Website Service
    1. Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and websites are compatible with most contemporary mobile devices that have internet connectivity and run popular operating systems like Android or iOS.
    2. You are responsible for obtaining the network access necessary to use the Mobile App and Website Service and are responsible for any rates and fees from your mobile network provider, including from data consumption while using Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and/or websites. You are also responsible for obtaining compatible devices and operating systems necessary to use the Mobile App and Website Service, including any software or hardware updates.
    3. We provide the Mobile App and Website Service “as is” and “as available.” The Mobile App and Website Service, or any related digital content, may be subject to limitations, delays, and/or other problems inherent to the use of the internet and electronic communications and are not guaranteed to be available, uninterrupted or error free at all times. Unic Technologies may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of the Mobile App and Website Service for business and operational reasons. Unic Technologies will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal.
    4. To use the Mobile App and Website Service in the United Kingdom, you must register in Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and/or websites and set up an account and you must be eighteen (18) or older. To use the Mobile App and Website Service in the United Kingdom you must be eighteen (18) or over. The terms governing specific Unic Technologies Provided Services or Third Party Services may impose different age requirements.
    5. You must provide us with certain personal information to register and set up your account, including your phone number and email address. To use the Mobile App and Website Service, Unic Technologies Provided Services or certain Third Party Services, you may need to provide at least one valid payment method (that is, a debit card, credit card or any other accepted payment method). You may need to provide additional information and documents before using certain Unic Technologies Provided Services or Third Party Services, such as your address.
    6. You are under no obligation to log in to, or use, Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and/or websites. If you choose to stop using Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and/or websites you may do so without giving us any notice. You further agree that 3rd Party Providers are under no obligation to log in to, or use, Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and/or websites.
    7. Unic Technologies may temporarily restrict your access to and use of the Mobile App and Website Service if there is a suspected breach of your obligations (see Section 15 below) or otherwise of these Terms, including where we receive a complaint in relation to fraud. There may be circumstances in which we are unable to provide you with information about the complaint whilst an investigation is ongoing (by us and/or a third party such as the police).
  3. Use of Mobile App and Website Service
    1. Access Requirement: User need internet connectivity, compatible devices and software. They must also register an account, which requires personal information like email and phone number
    2. Service Availability: The app and website are provided “as is” without guarantees of uninterrupted service.
    3. Accesst Use: The account is personal, and users must keep their login etail confidential. Misuse can lead to suspension or termination.
  4. Dispute Resolution
    1. Initial Complaints: Users are encouraged to raise complaints directly with the company.
    2. Legal Action: The company reserves the right to refer disputes to court
  5. Ownership and Intellectual Property
    1. UNIC TECHNOLOGIES’s Rights: The company retains ownership of its app, website and associated intellectual property.
    2. User Restrictions: User cannot copy, distribute, reverse engineer or misuse the company’s intellectual property.
  6. Transportation Services
    1. Contract Formation: A transportation contract is formed when the company accepts a user’s booking request.
    2. Driver Responsibility: Drivers are contracted by Unic Technologies, not directly by customer.
    3. Liability: The company’s liability for transportation services is limited, and business losses are not covered
  7. Complaints and Problems
      Service Issues: User can contact the company for issues with the app or transportation services. The company’s liability is limited to £500 in aggregate, exculding unlawful actions like fraud or negligence.
  8. Your Obligations when using the Mobile App and Website Service
    1. When using the Mobile App and Website Service, you must comply with all applicable laws. You may only use the Mobile App and Website Service for lawful purposes and for the purposes for which they were intended as otherwise referenced in these Terms. You must not misuse Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and/or websites or attempt to defraud either us or 3rd Party Providers. For more information about what is expected from you, please consult our Community Guidelines.
    2. When registering an account and utilizing the Mobile App and Website Service, it’s essential to furnish precise and comprehensive information.
    3. Your account is personal to you. Your account cannot be licensed or shared unless expressly permitted by Unic Technologies. Once you have set up an account, you:may not register more than one account unless we agree otherwise in writing; may not allow 3rd parties to use your account or transfer your account to a 3rd party; must keep your account information accurate, complete and up-to-date; must keep your login details safe and confidential at all times; and must tell us immediately if you have any reason to believe that someone else knows your username or password or if you suspect that someone else is using your account.
    4. You are accountable for settling any fees or charges arising from the provision of Unic Technologies Provided Services or 3rd Party Services requested through your account.
    5. In utilizing the Mobile App and Website Service, it is prohibited to cause any nuisance, annoyance, inconvenience, or property damage to the Third Party Provider, Unic Technologies, or any other party. Further prohibited activities may lead to refusal of service for any and all users involved, examples of which are not limited to: misuse of the app, illegal activities, harassment etc.
    6. You will not be charged for using the Mobile App and Website Service. However, we reserve the right to introduce a usage charge, in which case you will be informed in writing and given the opportunity to terminate these Terms before any such charge is introduced. If you choose to terminate these Terms, you will no longer be able to access or use the Mobile App and Website Service.
    7. We standby the right to introduce a fee, and we will inform you, for specific features on Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and/or websites, in which case you can decide if you wish to proceed. These may be subject to separate terms, which Unic Technologies will make available to you at the time.
  9. What if there’s a problem with my Mobile App and Website Service?
    1. If there is a problem with the Mobile App and Website Service, or if you have a complaint, please contact us on the details set out in the “Contact Us” section above.
  10. Avoid relying solely on information provided through the Mobile App and Website Service.
    1. Although Unic Technologies makes sensible efforts to update the information provided through the Mobile App and Website Service, Unic Technologies makes no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on the mobile applications and/or websites is accurate, complete or up to date.
  11. Ownership and rights in the Mobile App and Website Service
    1. Unic Technologies reserves all rights not expressly granted in these Terms. The Mobile App and Website Service, Unic Technologies’s devices and all data gathered through Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and/or websites (including all intellectual property rights in all of the foregoing) are and remain Unic Technologies’s property or the property of Unic Technologies’s licensors.
    2. You may not, and may not allow any other party to: (a) copy, license, sublicense, sell and resell, modify, distribute, transfer, create or lease any part of Unic Technologies’s mobile applications or websites (b) reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of Unic Technologies’s mobile applications or websites except as allowed under law (c) launch or cause to launch any programs or scripts for the purpose of indexing, scraping, surveying or otherwise data mining any part of Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and/or websites or data; (d) use, display, or manipulate any of Unic Technologies Names, Marks, or Works for any purpose other than to use the Mobile App and Website Service; (e) create or register any (i) businesses, (ii) URLs, (iii) domain names, (iv) software application names or titles, or (v) social media handles or profiles that include Unic Technologies Names, Marks, or Works or any confusingly or substantially similar mark, name, title, or work; (f) use Unic Technologies Names, Marks, or Works as your social media profile picture or wallpaper; (g) purchase keywords (including, but not limited to Google AdWords) that contain any Unic Technologies Names, Marks, or Works; or (h) apply to register, reference, use, copy, and/or claim ownership in Unic Technologies’s Names, Marks, or Works, or in any confusingly or substantially similar name, mark, title, or work, in any manner for any purposes, alone or in combination with other letters, punctuation, words, symbols, designs, and/or any creative works; except as may be permitted in the limited license granted under Section 18.c below.
    3. Provided you adhere to these Terms, we authorize you with a personal, global, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, non-sublicensable license to install and/or utilize Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and/or websites on your device exclusively for your personal use and access to the information provided through them. Any rights not explicitly conferred herein are retained by Unic Technologies and its licensors.
  12. Service Provider and Private Hire Vehicle Operators of Unic Technologies Transportation Services
    1. When utilizing Unic Technologies Transportation Services in the United Kingdom, your contractual agreement will be with the specific Unic Technologies entity that has accepted your booking as the licensed private hire operator.
    2. Using Unic Technologies Platform for carriage is between the operator and the customer, not between the driver and the customer or Passenger.
    3. The Operator Unic Technologies shall be solely responsible for the provision of transportation services, which includes the acceptance and confirmation of bookings, the allocation of drivers to fulfill those bookings, and the handling of all related payments. The Operator guarantees that all drivers engaged to provide transportation services through its platform hold the necessary licenses and insurance coverage as required by law.
    4. A booking is considered confirmed only when the Operator has accepted the booking and provided a confirmation to the customer. The acceptance of a booking constitutes a legally binding contract between the Operator and the customer.
    5. Once a booking is accepted by the Unic Technologies, liability is limited to the maximum extent permissible by law, while remaining in full compliance with applicable consumer protection laws.
    6. Bookings may be canceled by either party under specific conditions outlined by the Unic Technologies. Any applicable fees or consequences will be clearly stated. The cancellation policy will comply with relevant consumer protection laws to ensure a fair resolution for both parties.
    7. A provision for handling disputes between the Unic Technologies and the Customer is included, with the option for arbitration or mediation. This provision complies with the legal requirements under the Private Hire Vehicles (London) Act 1998.
    8. This clause is included stating that the service operates in full compliance with all relevant local laws and regulations, including the Private Hire Vehicles (London) Act 1998. Additionally, if any term of this agreement is found to be unenforceable or illegal under local law, that term will be severed from the agreement, while the remainder of the agreement will continue in full force and effect.
    9. Customers or Passeneger are entitled to a safe and reliable transportation service. Unic Technologies is committed to ensuring that all rides meet high standards of safety and reliability. Customers or Passengers have the right to file a complaint if they experience issues with the service. Customer or Passenger making a compalint from trip detail or while confirming the payment, and the Operator Unic Technologies is committed to addressing and resolving any complaints with in 24 hours window.
    10. Drivers are contracted to the Unic Technologies, and their role is to carry out the transportation service on behalf of the Unic Technologies, rather than directly contracting with the customer or passenger. Clarify that the driver’s actions, while providing the service, are covered under the Unic Technologies’s liability.

    15. Pursuant to the Legislation, a booking request made by you can only be accepted by a person that holds a private hire operator’s.
  13. Unic Technologies’s Contract with you for Unic Technologies Transportation Services
    1. A request for a Booking establishes an offer by you to purchase Unic Technologies Transportation Services in accordance with these Terms. This Booking request will set out the main characteristics of the Unic Technologies Transportation Services (including pick up and drop off points). Your offer shall only be accepted when Unic Technologies issues written confirmation of the relevant Unic Technologies Transportation Service via text message, email or push notification from Unic Technologies’s mobile application, at which point and on which date and time a contract for Unic Technologies Transportation Services to which the Booking relates shall come into existence (“Contract“). We are not obligated to accept a booking, and we reserve the right to decline it for any reason. In the event that a driver becomes unavailable after we have confirmed the contract in writing, we will make every effort to arrange another driver for your booking. However, if an alternative driver cannot be secured, we reserve the right to terminate the contract without compensation to you.
    2. The Civic Guidelines form part of your Contract with Unic Technologies.
    3. We will inform you of the estimated time of driver arrival and estimated time of journey completion, but these are estimates only and time shall not be of the essence. If we cannot accept your Booking request, we will inform you of this and will not charge you for Unic Technologies Transportation Services. Your Contract will end when the passenger journey ends or as otherwise may be provided for in these Terms.
    4. The price for the contract, which includes VAT if applicable, will be presented to you through Unic Technologies’s mobile applications and/or websites prior to placing your booking request. This may encompass relevant surcharges such as airport pickup, drop-off, tunnel tolls, parking fees, or other airport charges, as well as tolls, road charging schemes (including congestion charges), low emission zone charges, and road taxes. Certain circumstances, including but not limited to significant changes to the pickup/drop-off point, route adjustments, driver waiting time, stops, or traffic conditions, may result in a different charge than initially provided. In such cases, the applicable rates will be accessible to you via Unic Technologies’s mobile application and/or websites, which may be subject to modification or updates periodically. It is your responsibility to stay informed about the current rates for transportation services. For more details, refer to our Community Guidelines. Additional charges may also apply if you or any passenger soil, contaminate, or damage a vehicle, for which you may be billed for the incurred damage and a cleaning fee, as outlined in the Community Guidelines.
    5. Our accepted payment methods are set out on our App. When you make a Booking request, Unic Technologies may need to verify your payment method by issuing a temporary authorisation hold from your bank. When Unic Technologies has completed the Unic Technologies Transportation Services, if you think a payment is incorrect, please contact us promptly to let us know.
    6. Unic Technologies and its affiliates reserve the right to modify Unic Technologies Transportation Services at any time, including adjustments to comply with changes in applicable laws and regulatory obligations.
    7. Your right to cancel a Contract depends on when you decide to end the Contract. Please see Section 6 of these Terms for Cancellation of a Contract as well as our Cancellation Policy for Rides. If Unic Technologies is not at fault, and you do not have a right to change your mind, you can still end your Contract, but you may be charged a cancellation fee in accordance with our cancellation policy. To cancel your Contract, please follow the steps on the Unic Technologies’s mobile application. Unic Technologies will make refunds in Unic Technologies due to you as soon as possible, where applicable.
    8. Unic Technologies reserves the right to terminate your contract under specific circumstances outlined in these Terms. Please note that if one part of the terms is found invalid, the rest remains in effect.
    9. Should Unic Technologies terminate the contract, any prepaid funds will be refunded to you. However, Unic Technologies may deduct or charge you compensation for the net costs incurred if you have violated the terms of the contract.
    10. Unic Technologies also provides to you certain booking services which include:
      1. Accepting Bookings requested by you (which include Bookings requested in advance by you using the “scheduled ride” function in the Unic Technologies app) in accordance with sub-paragraph 3.d above, but without prejudice to Unic Technologies’s rights at its sole and absolute discretion to decline any such request and/or cancel an accepted Booking;
      2. Keeping records of Bookings;
      3. Remotely monitoring transportation services booked using the Unic Technologies app;
      4. Receiving and dealing with feedback, questions and complaints from you relating to Bookings accepted by Unic Technologies, which may be made at help section in Unic Technologies website; and
      5. Managing any lost property queries, can be done through the help section from the trip detail page in mobile app or customer or Passenger can contact us through contact detail shared on contact us page.
  14. What if there’s a problem with my Unic Technologies Transportation Services
    1. If there is a problem with Unic Technologies Transportation Services, or if you have a complaint, please contact us on the details set out in the “Contact Us” section above.
    2. Please be aware that all private hire vehicles must comply with legal requirements by holding and maintaining PHV insurance for drivers to lawfully transport passengers. If your issue pertains to a motor incident, please reach out to us for your driver’s insurance information to proceed accordingly. Until all possible remedies related to motor accidents have been exhausted, we will not be held liable for any matters covered by your driver’s PHV insurance.
    3. If Unic Technologies, or its affiliate entities, are accountable to you in connection with the Booking Services or Unic Technologies Transportation Services, its accountability, insofar as is permitted by law, will be limited to an amount equal to £500 in aggregate.
    4. Unic Technologies, and its affiliate entities, are not accountable for business losses. Unic Technologies Transportation Services are provided only for private use. If you use Unic Technologies Transportation Services for any commercial or business purpose Unic Technologies will have no accountability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, loss of revenue, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity (Regardless of whether such loss could reasonably be anticipated as a result of our negligence or violation of these Terms.).
    5. Unic Technologies does not restrict or diminish its accountability to you in any manner where such action would be unlawful. This encompasses liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or the negligence of our employees, workers, agents, or subcontractors; for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for violation of your legal rights regarding the Unic Technologies Transportation Services.
